TO KNOW HIM IS TO LOVE HIM

This has been on my mind lately: My first love ~ JESUS. Have you ever been in a place where you think, "I can't imagine not loving HIM!" and sometime later find yourself thinking, "that kind of love seems so unfamiliar...like something out of a dream..." How do we drift so far?

I am looking forward to listening to this broadcast once I get out of class today.

Nancy Leigh Demoss (Revive Our Hearts) says:

"Think about the time in your life when your love for Christ burned more strongly than ever. Does that describe you today? Find out why it could.
*LISTEN HERE*

If you love Christ, you will love others. To have true love for others, you must have Christ. So when you fail to love Christ, you will fail to love others. When you fail to love others, you have failed to love Christ.

A door of your heart can be closed off to Christ even if you’re faithful, persevering, orthodox; even if your doctrine and lifestyle is right.
Apart from love for Christ and for others, all we do is in vain."

I've been thinking on the same thing! Though my thoughts have been focused more on a line from "Be Thou My Vision"...how He is "my best thought, by day or by night".
Namely, that He isn't always my first thought (though He should be), but He's ALWAYS my best thought.

I might blog about that. One day.

Love my Stacey-Stace!
